FAQ
Portable Cabin Questions Answered
Questions we are regularly asked about our products, customization, manufacturing, supply, pricing factors and what is needed to prepare a quotation.
Do you manufacture the cabins or supply units made by others?
Karfan Barks manufactures and supplies portable cabins. Working directly with the manufacturer means the specification you agree is the specification that is produced, and one team stays accountable from drawing to delivery.
What types of portable cabins do you supply?
Portable office cabins, portable accommodation cabins, labor camp cabins, security cabins, portable toilet and ablution cabins, and custom units built to your own drawing.
Can cabins be built to our own dimensions and layout?
Yes. Units are produced against a drawing agreed with you covering internal layout, door and window positions, services and finishes. If you do not have a drawing, describe the function and headcount and we will work toward a layout you can approve.
Where do you supply portable cabins?
We are based in Jeddah, Makkah Province, and supply projects across Saudi Arabia. Delivery arrangements are confirmed for each project based on the site location and access.
How is a portable cabin priced?
Price depends on the unit type and size, quantity, internal layout and partitions, insulation and finishes, electrical and air-conditioning provisions, sanitary fittings where applicable, and delivery location. Because these vary by project, quotations are prepared against your specific requirement rather than published as a fixed list.
What information do you need to prepare a quotation?
Cabin type, quantity, required dimensions or layout, services required, project location and the date you need the units on site. Drawings or reference images can be uploaded with the quote request form.
How long does manufacturing take?
Lead time depends on the unit type, quantity and the level of customisation involved. We confirm a realistic schedule with your quotation once the specification is agreed, and plan it against the date you need units on site.
Can cabins be joined together to make a larger building?
Yes. Units can be placed side by side and joined to form larger continuous areas, or arranged around corridors. Stacked two-storey arrangements with external stairs are also possible where access and ground conditions allow.
Can cabins be relocated after the project ends?
They are designed as relocatable buildings with lifting provision, so they can be moved to the next site. Foundations, service connections and access need to be planned for the new position.
Do you supply air conditioning, electrical and plumbing provisions?
Electrical points, lighting, distribution boards, air-conditioning provisions and plumbing for wet units are included as specified in the agreed drawing. Tell us your requirements at enquiry stage so they are priced correctly.
Can you supply a complete workforce camp?
Yes. Sleeping, ablution, kitchen, dining, store and administration units can be manufactured together so the camp is consistent in specification, and camps can be built in phases as manpower grows.
What site preparation is required before delivery?
A level, firm base or foundation pads, safe truck access to the position, lifting arrangements where required, and a plan for power, water and drainage connections. We confirm the requirements for your specific units before delivery.
