Overview
About our portable accommodation cabins
Accommodation cabins are used where a project runs far from suitable housing, or where a team needs to remain on or beside the site. The building has to work as a place to sleep and rest, so insulation, ventilation, air conditioning and door and window positions matter far more than they do in a storage or office unit.
Karfan Barks manufactures accommodation units as single-room cabins, multi-room blocks and joined arrangements that share corridors and service points. Layouts can separate supervisory and staff accommodation, and can be planned alongside sanitary, dining and laundry units so the whole facility works as one scheme rather than a collection of separate boxes.
Because the units are relocatable, accommodation built for one project phase can be dismantled, transported and re-established when the workforce moves, protecting the investment across multiple sites.

FAQ
Portable Accommodation Cabins — questions we are asked
How many people can one accommodation cabin hold?
Occupancy depends on the unit size and the room layout you require. Tell us the headcount you need to house and we will propose a unit size and room arrangement, then confirm it with you on a drawing.
Can accommodation cabins be stacked?
Stacked arrangements with external staircases and landings are possible where ground conditions and access allow. Structural and foundation requirements are confirmed case by case.
Can bathrooms be built inside the accommodation unit?
Yes, attached wet areas can be included, or sanitary facilities can be supplied as separate blocks. Which approach suits you depends on headcount, drainage and how the camp is laid out.
Do you supply the complete camp layout?
We manufacture and supply the units and work with you on how they are arranged. Site works such as ground preparation, drainage and utility connections are agreed as part of the project scope.
